Our Review
Again, the crazy and unique stuffs from our guy Alex Tew. I wonder where is this guy got some ideas like this?? Well, the page looked like this:

Social Engagement Data Recently Acquired by Google, PostRank

PostRank logo

Upon reading about google had acquired PostRank from several social medias (ie mashable and techcrunch) I became curious. What is PostRank all about?

To answer that, I go to their homepage. The welcome screen says "We are excited to announce that PostRank has been acquired by google!" (yeah, you CAN'T be more excited...) to proof the truth of the news. Well back to the PostRank all about, from their definition, PostRank is "The social web connects people where they share, critique and interact with content and each other. PostRank is the largest aggregator of social engagement data in the industry. Our platform tracks where and how users engage, and what they pay attention to — in real-time. PostRank social engagement data measures actual user activity, the most accurate indicator of the relevance and influence of a site, story, or author". Quite interesting.

The Recommend Button, google +1 button

google +1 button (from geeky-gadgets.com)

'Fresh ideas' from the famous search engine. Well, first I realized it on my blog a few days ago, and I thought this button just like 'share' features like that in twitter or facebook. But after asking our dear know-just-anything friend mister google and googling a little bit (yeah, who'd you ask for if not them?) this button is rather a recommendation button, it's not only function as a share button but also a recommendation from the viewer that said it can improve the recommended stuffs better in the SERP.

Our Review
One of my favorites ideas on the net. Though the content might not be very useful for us and it's 'old' already (2005), it's the originality of the ideas that matters. The creator Alex Tew is just 21 years old when  accidentally found out this unique ideas after he wanna make some money to pay his college bills.

All-About-Skills Site, Skillpages

Skillpages front page

Skillpages is all about skills, to find or to be found. Here you'll be asked to submit one or more of your skills so people may search and approach you. Or you can search anyone with some skills you required.

Quite unique concept. There are some skill that you can provide, from a regular such as 'accounting', 'gardening', to the unique ones such as 'dog walking' or others that we don't even think of.

So, ready to be reckoned by the web for your 'unique' skills?? Just visit www.skillpages.com :)

The Brainstorming Mind-mapper, Mindmeister

Mindmeister Front Page

This is one of the interesting site on the web :)

Mindmeister, like their tag line 'Brainstorming - the easy way', is about defining some ideas, concept, problems etc in a format of what they called a 'mind map'. Thus allowed us to easily understanding complicated things by forming it simpler.

Balinese Social Networking, Balihub site

Balihub.com Front Page

The site Balihub.com is a one of the first Balinese Social Networking on the net. This site provide information and social network about culture, community, people and business currently in Bali. Okay, maybe not a fresh idea, but it's unique, where can we find another Balinese Social Networking?? :)
