From my consideration tripsay its rather fresh than unique, lols. Its concept maybe not the first, but the lay out, colors, and the icons is very eye-catching and neat that makes me tend to visit just to see that (maybe it can give you some inspiration too).
Tripsay, with their tag line "Discover Exciting Vacation Ideas!" is a traveling site with social networking inside. So you can comment, share, message, and other
regular social networking features with your friends. Upon entering, there are three main features: 'Recommendations On Map', 'Find a New Cool Places', and 'The Best Hotel Search Ever'.

The first one, Recommendations On Map has the world map navigation, where we can see other's recommendation of any location in the world map and we can add ours there. The icon is very nice designed too. In the Find a New Cool Places, we showed a world map with several places, from well-known to un-known, where we can rate minimum five places and then the webs will show the top five most recommended places for you (the webs give me Tromso/ Langnes in Norway in number one.. huh? where the hell is that?? lols) based on the recommendation of other members that has gave similar ratings in the map. The other one, The best hotel search, i tried to test it with my hometown 'Denpasar', and the result show the cost, locations from center of town and nearest important places, and features of the hotels. In addition we can search by our budget, stars rating, and distances from nearest places.
